I don't get a chance to often photograph quinceañera portraits, so when the opportunity arose to capture not one, but two beautiful young ladies celebrating this milestone, I was like, Yas! However, as with any photo session, there were a few hurdles to overcome… per my usual. First off, little did I remember that we’d scheduled the session on the day of the Summer Solstice celebration in Santa Barbara. The parade was over, but that didn't mean the chaos had died down. We had to navigate through lingering people who were just hanging out, oh, and the confetti... everywhere. And the trash. And the people. But hey, we were determined to make this work!
When I arrived, my excitement peaked as I saw these beautiful twins in their stunning quinceañera gowns. They looked like they had just stepped out of a fairy tale—one part Aurora, one part Cinderella. Okay, maybe that was just me who thought that, but seriously, these girls were enchanting. Thankfully, we had a mini-army of helpers, with mom, auntie, and cousin all pitching in. We traipsed all over the Santa Barbara Courthouse, hunting for those perfect Spanish backdrops to complement the girls’ beauty. And boy, did we find them!
Despite the initial obstacles, the session turned out to be a magical experience. Arianae and Vianae were more than just beautiful on the outside; their sweet and radiant characters shone through in every shot. Congratulations to you both on this exciting chapter of your lives!
