You know those days when not everyone’s in the mood for photos? When one kid is grouchy, and Mom’s wondering why she booked this whole thing? Yeah, this was one of those sessions—until it wasn’t.
First stop: Ocean Park. Little guy? Not having it. He had no interest in smiling, posing, or even looking in the general direction of the camera. I mean, who could blame him? The kid had better things to do than hear me shout his name 100 times cheerily while offering ridiculous bribes, I mean, not sure what 3 year old wants to see his picture on the back of my camera or hold my reflector... my bribes aren't so enticing.
But here’s where things took a turn. Enter Surf Beach. A short drive later, the little dude turned into a completely different kid. It was like someone flipped a switch! The beach vibes hit just right, and suddenly, Mr. Grumpy Pants was all smiles, running around like he owned the place. Shells, feathers, and even something we’ll call “sea carrots” became the magic ingredients that saved the day. And let’s talk about the older brother for a second—total natural in front of the camera. Meanwhile, Dad and Mom were living their best lives watching their kids transform from grumpy to giddy in record time.
So, here’s to the Becks, who reminded me that even the grumpiest of starts can lead to the most epic of finishes. Thanks for keeping me on my toes, and here’s to the next adventure—maybe next time we’ll throw in some seaweed just for fun!
