Fall is officially knocking on our doors, and today definitely felt like it! Crisp air, golden sunlight, and trees flaunting their best autumn hues like they’re about to drop the hottest album of the season. Even the poison oak was showing off, which—let’s be honest—is entirely unnecessary. Some things just don’t need a seasonal glow-up.
Now, let’s talk about Landon. This guy was an absolute rockstar for his senior session. And I don’t throw that term around lightly—I grew up in an era when "rockstar" meant someone who actually played an instrument and didn’t just show up with an autotune app. Usually, when I hit senior guys with my go-to, “Alright, big fake laugh!” I get one of two responses: total silence or a look that says, Is she serious? But Landon? He actually laughed. Like, real, actual laughter. I wasn’t sure whether to be impressed or offended that it worked on him and not the dozens of guys before him.
Between the gorgeous light, the historic mission backdrop, and Landon’s easygoing attitude, the session was a total win. His parents soaked up the moment, watching their oldest take this next step, while their toddler provided plenty of funny moments. (Honestly, I think we all need a toddler in our lives to keep us grounded. Nothing like a small human staring at you like, What exactly is your job, and why are you making my brother stand in a field?)
Landon, you nailed it. Thanks for bringing your sense of humor, rolling with my antics, and making the afternoon so much fun. Congratulations, and good luck with senior year! And to his toddler sibling—keep questioning everything. The world needs more of that energy.
