When you start to do this long enough, you begin to get clients you've known since they were babies, and then, suddenly, they are graduating high school. What the heck? I was honored that I was asked to take Kate's senior photos; she is my best friend's daughter, and she's gorgeous and adorable and very easy to direct and photograph. Kate's session was a surreal experience. I remember her as a tiny tot, and now here she was, all grown up and ready to take on the world. It's moments like these that make you realize just how quickly time flies.

Photographing Kate was an absolute blast. Giving her some odd prompts, making her giggle, and capturing every side of her personality was pure joy. Whether she was striking a serious pose or bursting into laughter, each shot showcased her multifaceted charm.

While we did almost die going up a one-lane road to a lookout point off Cuesta Grade, where we were met with thick, cold fog instead of a beautiful sunset, the ominous fog still made some cool pics. The fog added a mysterious, ethereal quality to the photos that turned out to be unexpectedly awesome. Sometimes, the best shots come from the most unexpected conditions.

Kate, you're a treasure. Watching you grow up and having the chance to capture this milestone was an incredible honor. Your senior photos are as stunning and unique as you are. Congratulations on your graduation and all the amazing adventures ahead!
