Where We Shoot
The Central Coast
is our studio.
From golden vineyards to ocean
bluffs to your own backyard — I
know this coast, and I know how
to make it look incredible.
The Good Spots
I know the light. You bring the story.
Over the years I've built up a
solid list of spots — golden hills,
shaded oak groves, vineyards,
beaches, the odd wall that catches
the light just right. Places I've
stood in at golden hour and
thought: yes, right here.
But this list isn't the limit. If
you have a place that feels like
you — your favorite trail, your
school, somewhere that actually
means something — let's go there
instead. The best backdrop is
usually the one that makes you
feel like yourself.
"The best backdrop is the one
that makes you feel like
yourself."
Good locations have a few things
in common: decent light, something
interesting behind you, and enough
room to move around. A manicured
backdrop isn't the point —
character is. A weathered fence,
an open hillside, a canopy of old
oaks. What makes a spot work is
usually what makes it feel like
somewhere, not just something to
stand in front of. If a place
means something to you, that
already puts it ahead of most.
Heads Up
Before we show up anywhere,
it's on you to make sure we're
allowed to be there — permits,
property permission, the whole
thing. I'll bring the camera;
you bring the clearance.
