Senior season is here and I couldn’t be more excited. Ani was the one to kick it off, and she couldn’t have been a more wonderful model, not even if she tried. She’s one of those people who is sweet and kind in a way that instantly puts you at ease, and it radiates through her photos. Ani is that rare mix of calm and quietly confident, and somehow she manages to be beautiful from the inside out without even realizing it.

She showed up ready for anything, which is exactly the kind of energy that makes senior sessions fun. At one point, I asked her to step into a spiderweb-laced shack because I thought maybe, just maybe, I could pull off something artsy. Spoiler: I couldn’t. But Ani went along with it anyway, smiling through the cobwebs like it was no big deal.

Then there was the moment I had her lay in the grass, which seemed like a good idea until I had to get down there too. Somewhere in the process, I ended up with a sticker lodged into my pocket. I couldn’t find it, so I just let it jab me for the rest of the session because the light was perfect and golden hour waits for no one.

Ani made the entire evening easy and relaxed, the kind of session that reminds me why I love photographing seniors.

Thank you, Ani, for trusting me to capture this special time.
