This year I had the chance to photograph Ashlie, one of the two sets of twins I've been lucky enough to work with. When Ashlie's mom reached out, she wanted to ensure that each twin got their own unique session to showcase their different personalities. I genuinely appreciate that approach, as it allows me to capture the essence of each individual—especially since those costs can pile up quickly.
We started our session at the Santa Ynez Botanic Garden, where Ashlie began a bit reserved. But soon enough, her smiles lit up her face, revealing the beauty she carries both inside and out. It was a treat to photograph her during one of the brighter parts of the day. After about an hour of wandering through the lovely foliage, we made our way to Arroyo Burro Beach for some sunset shots.
At the beach, Ashlie transformed. She was playful, giggly, and completely adorable. My favorite moments were the in-between ones, where her softer, more serious side shone through. I hope she looks back on those photos and sees the blend of joy and depth that makes her who she is.
