Nojoqui Falls will always be remembered as the place where I dramatically told my parents the hike was “forever.” Spoiler: it’s not. But when you’re a kid, every hike feels like the Oregon Trail. So when Eleanora wanted her senior photos there, I was all in. The trail is a little narrower now, the parking a bit farther away, and apparently the gnats have developed a taste for eyeballs. Otherwise, it’s just as I remembered.
Gnats aside, Eleanora was the dream client. She embraced my visions, brought her own ideas, found the sunlight, and even braved standing next to poison oak for the perfect shot. Full disclosure: I won’t force anyone to get too close to poison oak, but if you want to, I won’t stop you. I will take the picture.
If you're thinking about your own session, take a page from Eleanora: embrace the quirks of the location, lean into the light, and don't let a few gnats ruin the fun.
Thank you, Eleanora, for trusting me to capture this special time.
