There’s a lot going on at the Santa Barbara Courthouse on a Saturday, especially when the weather is as nice as it was for Haley's senior session. You’ve got weddings, tourists, and, on sunny days, people sprawled out on the grass soaking up the sun. Then there’s the shopping cart. I’m still scratching my head over that one. I guess they must have done some major shopping and needed to take a break.
With all the usual spots in use, I had to get a bit creative with our locations. But that’s part of the beauty of the courthouse; no matter where you turn, the architecture is stunning.
Now let’s talk about Haley. She nailed every single shot. The girl was something else to photograph. She knew her angles and looked great in every pose. I barely had to direct her; I’d say, “Sit there” or “Stand there,” and she brought the magic.
Having her mom, my daughter (who happens to be one of Haley's friends), and her boyfriend cheering her on meant there were plenty of sweet moments. It's no wonder I got those beautiful, genuine smiles from her.
As time flew by, we made a quick dash over to Arroyo Burro Beach to wrap up the session with some dreamy backlit sunset photos. And of course, Haley absolutely crushed it there too.
Thank you, Haley, for trusting me to capture this special time.
