And Izzy is back! The cool Lompoc native I photographed all over town last fall showed up this time with his cousin John, who’s graduating right alongside him. How cool is that? I never had cousins close enough in age to go to school with, let alone graduate together or live in the same town. So when I hear about family who gets to share those milestones, I think it’s pretty awesome.

Izzy’s mom, Irma, wanted photos in those nostalgic stands. The first day we tried, there was a huge crowd, and it just wasn’t going to work. We gave it another shot the next day, and it was perfect. Not a soul in the stands, and we had the whole place to ourselves. I had fun trying out new angles and making these two look like the cool soon-to-be graduates they are. Honestly, I didn’t have to try that hard, they already had the cool factor covered.
