We kicked off Kendall’s senior session at the Santa Barbara Courthouse, and honestly, this place never gets old. The Spanish architecture, the grand staircases, the way the light filters through the arches—it’s like stepping into another era. And Kendall? She showed up looking like a 1940s film star. The glam, the confidence, the way she moved in front of the camera. It all just worked.

After wrapping up at the courthouse, we headed to the beach for a second look. Golden hour was starting to peek through, and I had this great plan for sunset shots. Except here’s the thing I forgot to consider: Santa Barbara beaches face south. So instead of a dramatic sunset over the water, I got a big, fat lesson in beach geography. But that’s the job. You adapt. We found soft light, good angles, and Kendall brought the energy. She laughed, played, and made every single frame worth it.

What really stood out to me was how her confidence grew as we went. At the start, she was already polished. By the beach, she was in her element. Posing, laughing, tossing her hair in the wind like it was no big deal. It felt like she wasn’t just doing senior portraits. She owned them.

Thank you, Kendall, for trusting me to capture this special time.
