What can I say about KiLeanna, or KiLe as her friends call her. This girl really knew what I was going for and nailed it with total commitment. With her mom along for support and a very cool changing tent—seriously, I need one—we zipped through the Santa Ynez Botanical Garden, changing outfits on the fly. No more waiting around while clients try to squeeze into their clothes in the backseat of a car. KiLe was game for some of my outrageous cheer poses—outrageous for me at least. I photograph tons of cheerleaders and I’m always looking for new ideas, and KiLe was perfect for that. She even stood barefoot on her megaphone for a shot—she was totally on fire. Did I use that right?
I know I say every girl I photograph looks beautiful, but it’s true. These girls really have it together—hair, makeup, and everything else. Some of them make it look so effortless.
