I love photographing young families, especially the ones with strong-willed toddlers.
Emma is one of those little girls who knows exactly what she wants and how she wants it. Honestly, she reminds me a lot of another little girl I know very well.
Her parents were so patient with her, even during the mid-meltdown moment when Emma had very clearly reached her limit. They gave her space, let her have her moment, and before long, she was back to her cheerful little self.
A lot of parents worry that I’m working on a strict timeline, but really, I’m just following the sun’s schedule. I understand how little ones can be. My goal is to capture this fleeting, funny, tender phase of parenthood as honestly as possible.
Because today she may be throwing a fit in the middle of family photos, but before you know it, she’ll be calling you “bruh” from the other room.
