The weather was perfect. The sun, shining. The lens flare, flaring. And this family, well, they nailed it.

I was so happy when Tori reached out to book photos again, just like they did a couple of years back when they came to visit. I couldn’t wait to see little Sidhi and how much she’d grown. She didn’t disappoint.

At seven years old, Sidhi is fiercely independent and knows exactly what she wants. She spent most of the session as my unofficial assistant, telling everyone where to stand and what to do next. Honestly, she ran the show. But here’s the thing: this session was really about her anyway. About how completely adored she is by her family.

Loving doesn’t even begin to cover it. Sure, she’s a little opinionated, but what seven-year-old girl isn’t? I say soak it up while you can because pretty soon she’ll be calling you “bruh” and disappearing into her room to watch The Vanderpumps while you’re sitting alone on the couch with your true crime documentaries. Just sayin.

Thank you, Loving-Rudolph family, for trusting me to capture this special time.

If you’re thinking about a family session at the Santa Ynez Botanical Garden, I’d love to help you plan it.
