My sweet, adorable, absolutely glowing co-worker and friend couldn't have been more fun to photograph for her maternity session. And Taylor was good too.
As soon as Murisa told me she was expecting, my brain instantly jumped to the session. It’s been so cool to watch her walk through every stage of pregnancy, always stylish, always composed, even when she wasn’t feeling great. There were times she’d apologize for getting sick in her office, and I’d be like, “Wait, that was you getting sick? That was even cute.” I know, it’s a weird thing to say, but seriously, she was adorable the entire pregnancy. Unfair.
Wall Beach brought a mix of conditions. It was brighter, windier, and definitely colder than I expected, but somehow it still worked. The beach gave us the kind of soft, open backdrop that lets the focus stay right where it should be, on the connection between these two as they prepare for their next chapter.
Taylor was such a good sport throughout the whole session. Supportive and easygoing, he made my job easy. They were both so natural together, and you could see how excited they are to meet their little one. I have no doubt they’re going to be wonderful parents.
Murisa, thank you for trusting me to capture this special time. And Taylor, thanks for showing up, and showing up well.
If you’re thinking about a maternity session at Wall Beach, I’d love to help you plan it.
