Ronda came into this session knowing exactly what she wanted, and it was not what I usually do. That made me nervous. I like natural light, subtle edits, and capturing people in their element. Ronda? She wanted strong, bold, powerful. Studio lights. Confidence front and center.

But once I met her, it all made sense. She wasn’t asking for photos that weren’t “her.” She wanted photos that showed exactly who she had become.

A year ago, Ronda didn’t feel at home in her body. Something needed to change, and she made that happen. Strength. Discipline. A new mindset. She didn’t chase unrealistic expectations, she set grounded, attainable goals and then crushed them. And she didn’t do it alone. Ronda gives full credit to God for walking with her through it. That kind of faith and determination deserves to be celebrated.

This session wasn’t just about what she looked like, it was about what she’d overcome. What she’d built. And I’m glad I stepped out of my comfort zone to help her capture it.

Thank you, Ronda, for trusting me to photograph this milestone.
