Can someone explain when the softball kids grew up? Because I swear it was just yesterday they were running bases with helmets too big for their heads, looking like bobbleheads in cleats. And now? They’re graduating. Driving. Making me feel ancient.
So when Teagan reached out for senior photos, I was all in. I’ve known her since those bobblehead days, and let me tell you, this session did not disappoint.
Teagan is effortlessly cool. She doesn’t need to be loud or over-the-top. She’s got that quiet confidence that makes you lean in. Her eyes do most of the talking, seriously, the kind of stare that says a thousand things without a word. And whether she was laughing or giving me one of those thoughtful looks, she lit up every frame.
We met at the Santa Ynez Botanical Garden, which gave us its best golden hour light and just the right mix of green and glow. Total fairy-tale feel without trying too hard. Teagan didn’t overthink it. She was real, relaxed, and completely herself.
And honestly? I laughed through most of it. She reminded me so much of my own teen, same wit, same sharp delivery. Hanging with her felt like home.
Teagan, you’re smart, funny, kind, and grounded. Don’t change a thing. You’ve got big things ahead.
Thank you, Teagan, for trusting me to capture this special time.
