Don't get me wrong, I love my girl senior sessions, but sometimes the guy senior sessions are refreshing. I have three brothers, and every senior guy feels like a little brother, even though I'm old enough to be their mom. I still enjoy poking fun at them, teasing them, and acting like a big sister to get those genuine smiles and a few laughs. Guys can be tough—many don’t want to smile, and if they do, it often looks forced. Real smiles are much better than the stiff look.

Alice Keck Park never disappoints. It was full of greenery, flowers (my favorite), and about a million ants. As I arrived at the park and walked over to Vincent and his mom, I noticed the absurd number of vans parked along the street, with sliding doors ajar just enough to look slightly creepy. We also ran into a group of college students recording a "heated debate,” which was, to be honest, a bit distracting. I had my eye on a great location, but a stubborn guy on a bike was blocking it. He eventually moved, leaving behind the unpleasant scent of beer.

Amid all that chaos, Vincent did an amazing job. Most guys don’t dream of being in front of a camera, but he rolled with it as we explored the park, with his mom keeping us entertained the whole time.

Thank you, Vincent, for trusting me to capture this special time.
