Fresh off a not-so-fun flu, I was finally back behind the camera and ready to kick off the season. And what a way to start. Cathy and Jose were an absolute blast to photograph. Also, can we just take a second to appreciate how ridiculously adorable they are?

This session had a twist. I’ve never done a surprise engagement during a session before, so yes, I was a little nervous. Jose and I had a quick game plan figured out ahead of time, and when the moment came, I gave him the look and he knew it was time.

Watching Jose drop to one knee and seeing Cathy’s reaction was one of those moments you don’t forget. It was genuine, emotional, and just so them. I felt lucky to be the one there to document it.

And let’s not forget their sweet baby girl, Luna. She tagged along, but thanks to their friend Maddie (a past client of mine), we were able to sneak in some beautiful engagement shots while Maddie held Luna off-camera like a champ.

Cathy and Jose, thank you for letting me be part of something so personal and exciting. I’m so happy for your little family.
