Back behind the camera today, and what a way to return, an hour with a gorgeous newborn. I don’t take on many newborn sessions, but when my sweet friend Murisa had her baby girl, I offered it up without hesitation.

Murisa and Taylor are brand new parents, and watching them with Chloe was the kind of thing that makes you stop and take it in. Taylor picked her up at one point, and she instantly calmed. That moment alone made the whole session. You can already tell she’s in good hands.

Murisa, of course, was stunning. Even running on no sleep, she had this peaceful, grounded presence that somehow made her look even more beautiful. She held Chloe like she’d been doing it forever.

Zoe stayed close, keeping an eye on everything like the loyal protector she is, while Champ was stuck in his crate, giving us the saddest eyes imaginable. Sorry, Champ. Next time you’re back in the mix.
