Talk about perfect timing. Daniel might’ve snagged the last picture-perfect afternoon before the Central Coast weather takes a nosedive, and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for better. No fog, no wind, just golden California light that made everything (and everyone) look good.
I love photographing senior guys, especially when they show up like Daniel, polite, relaxed, and ready to go. He’s got one of those easy smiles that makes you do a double-take, and he wore it well across every part of the La Purisima Mission.
If you haven’t been, the mission is full of weathered textures, open archways, and little pockets of light that make a session feel less like a photo shoot and more like an adventure. Daniel nailed it, walking the trails, leaning into the scenery, and pulling off a range of shots that’ll make his future self proud.
We chased the light and ended with that glowy golden hour that every photographer silently prays for. He made it all look effortless. And that’s the thing, when a session feels this natural, the photos follow suit.
Thanks for making my job easy, Daniel. Senior year is no small thing, and I’m glad we got to freeze a piece of it in time before everything speeds up.
Thank you, Daniel, for trusting me to capture this special time.
