Let’s just say this session came with a little extra wind, a lot of sunshine, and my first ride in a golf cart while holding a camera. Halee’s senior session at La Purisima Golf Course was full of personality, hers, her parents’, and a few unexpected breeze gusts that turned out to be surprisingly photogenic.

Halee started out a little quiet, but by the time we reached the second hole (or maybe it was the third, again, first time on a golf cart), she was all in. Confident, relaxed, and clearly in her happy place. Her swing? Impressive. Her smile? Even better.

Special shoutout to Halee’s mom for the smooth cart driving and to her dad, who gave me a running list of “prime photo spots” with the enthusiasm of someone scouting for a film crew. Honestly, not mad about it, they were good picks.

The forecast had promised clouds, but we ended up with golden light and just enough wind to add some drama without sending us into Oz. A few shots looked like they belonged in a magazine, and not the golf kind.

By the end, Halee had fully hit her stride and made that course look like her runway. Class of 2025, take note.

Thank you, Halee, for trusting me to capture this special time.
