There’s just something about high school seniors that gets me every time. Maybe it’s the energy, the awkward jokes, or how they somehow make me feel both young and old in the same breath. Jackson’s session at the Mission Club hit all those notes.

He didn’t show up in brand-new clothes or with a fresh haircut. Jackson brought his own style and a laid-back vibe that I honestly admired. No fuss, no itchy tags, just himself. And because he felt like himself, he relaxed into the session pretty quickly, even if he was a little nervous at the start.

I worked to make sure we captured his goofy, playful side, not just the posed version. These photos are for his parents just as much as they are for him, and I wanted them to see the guy they know and love. We ended the evening over at the park so I could grab some shots of him skating before the sun disappeared. Honestly, those might be my favorite.

Thank you, Jackson, for trusting me to capture this special time.
