Senior sessions are always special, but getting to photograph someone as dynamic and multi-talented as Natalie? That’s the kind of session that keeps my creative gears turning!
Natalie’s senior session at Babcock Winery was a dream. Not only does this girl do it all—softball, volleyball, leading the band as a drum major, and playing the trumpet—but she does it all with a charm that could make even the grumpiest umpire crack a smile. And let’s be real, I’ve watched her on the softball field—she’s a beast. I’ve even been a little intimidated by her intensity! But off the field? Pure sweetness. The kind of person who makes you feel lucky just to know her.
Babcock Winery gave us the perfect blend of rustic charm and vibrant color to showcase Natalie’s personality. The bougainvillea alone had me absolutely mesmerized—I might have used it as a backdrop for most of the session (but can you blame me?). Those bright blooms paired perfectly with Natalie’s radiant smile and made every shot feel like a piece of art.
Of course, we had to highlight all of her passions, and finding ways to creatively incorporate her trumpet was a fun challenge. I’m sure I called it a horn or even a tuba at least once—because apparently, my knowledge of brass instruments is questionable at best—but Natalie was patient with me. We found some gorgeous spots to make her trumpet pop.
The golden light filtering through the vines gave us that dreamy, warm glow—perfect for capturing the full spectrum of Natalie’s personality, from her fierce determination to her soft, sweet spirit. Whether she was posing with her trumpet, flashing that megawatt smile, or showing off her athletic side, every moment felt authentic and joyful.
Natalie, you are a powerhouse wrapped in kindness, and getting to capture this milestone for you was such an honor. Senior year is just another chapter in your already incredible story, and I can’t wait to see where your many talents take you next! Here’s to a future as bright as those gorgeous bougainvillea blooms!
