When a mom wants updated photos of her growing crew, I get it. As a mom myself, I know how quickly the stages pass, and how rarely everyone’s in one place, much less willing to smile for the camera. So when Selena reached out about a family session at The Mission Club, I was all in.

It was overcast and a little chilly, but the colors popped beautifully against the gray sky. From the start, the whole session felt easy. No one was stressed about posing or whether the kids would cooperate. It just unfolded naturally. There was teasing, laughter, a few sarcastic jabs, and exactly zero forced smiles.

One of my favorite parts? Watching them interact like they always do, just with a little more awareness that the camera was clicking. The comfort and connection between them made my job almost too easy.
